• An incredibly interesting essay arguing that Harry Potter's Professor Snape was transgender. Reading this made me miss grad school so much!
• 5 Rules for Hosting a Crappy Dinner Party. Love this--I know when I have people over for dinner or brunch I spend at least half a day shopping, cooking, and furiously cleaning; then by the time they get here I'm exhausted.
• How to Host the Ultimate Game of Thrones Viewing Party. Is it weird that this is a dream of mine? I wanted to do something similar for this season's finale but we're going to be out of town, so I'm hoping to do it for both the premiere and the finale of the next (and final) season.
• Would Trump let you immigrate to the United States today? I didn't pass.
• A new Maurice Sendak book was discovered and I'm so excited about it. 

To Watch:

• Binging with Babish is one of my favorite YouTube channels--Rob and I watch his videos every week and seriously feel like we know him. We may or may not have bought a deep fryer because of this one.

Wish List:

• This weird shirt looks so cool to me.
• Every now and then I get sick of spending money on makeup and get some cheap stuff at the drugstore--this foundation has me super impressed so far.
• Anyone else super excited about cooler weather and sweaters/boots? I think I might have to get these this year after all the rain we had in the Bay Area last winter!
• How adorable are these baby moccasins? I registered for a light pink pair but I might have to get the cute printed ones as well--the gold is so pretty! This kid is so spoiled already and she hasn't even arrived yet.

Happy Friday! It's been a busy week around here but a really good one, and I'm looking forward to a couple days of downtime to relax and maybe even spend some time at the pool. We're thinking about heading to San Francisco for the morning or afternoon tomorrow, and on Sunday I have a fun event at Stanford with my Pure Barre studio.

• Why Aren't You Laughing? David Sedaris sometimes makes me smile and cry in the same sentence and I love him for that.

To Watch:

• When eating is more important than breathing. I can relate to this raccoon.
• This burger has grilled pineapple instead of a bun but I don't think I'd like it. Might just stick with lettuce wraps.
• I'M SO READY for Game of Thrones Season 7. This trailer was everything. (I think I've watched it at least 8 times and it only came out earlier this week.)
• I've really been enjoying Bon Appétit's YouTube channel lately. This pasta looks incredible.

We're still going through this week-long heat wave, but by Sunday it should finally be cooling down. I'm excited to be able to stop running our window unit and just enjoying the usually so mild Bay Area weather! Poor Ender is pooped after just 15 or 20 minutes outside. I think he forgot we moved here from Charlotte, where it's usually this hot in the summer.

Happy Friday! I'm posting a little bit later than usual today but wanted to get this out--my goal for May is to post consistently on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Lately I've been sharing new posts whenever I have them and sometimes that's two times a week, sometimes it's four; so I thought it might be better to work a little smarter and spread things out for the sake of consistency. What do you think?
