Hi, I’m Megan.

I'm a wife, mom, writer, and an enthusiast of food and words.

I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area to an Italian mother + an Irish father, then raised in Roanoke, Virginia with a wonderful brother. I spent two years living with a very tall man and a green-eyed rescue pup in Charlotte, North Carolina after a year in Minneapolis, Minnesota (a city that totally stole my heart). In the summer of 2016 the man, the dog, and I packed our things and headed west for a new adventure in--oddly enough--the San Francisco Bay Area, where we spent four years getting to know California.

In November of 2017 we welcomed our daughter to the family and brought her home from the same hospital where I was born on Thanksgiving--my favorite holiday. In 2020 we moved back to Charlotte, bought a house, and finally settled down. In the spring of 2021 our son was born, completing our family and creating a sense of peace in my life that I haven’t known before.

I studied English and Creative Writing at Longwood University before going on to complete an M.A. in Children's Literature from Hollins University in 2012. I have a Where the Wild Things Are tattoo and dreams of a literary life. I've written several cookbooks, which you can find right here.

I love barre, coffee, gathering in the kitchen, and noodles. I wake up early and I always want to get rid of most of my clothes and I watch the same four shows and movies over and over. I'm a nostalgia junkie and I feel really lucky to be living this beautiful life.
