Happy Friday! I'm so glad it's the weekend--on Wednesday I wound up in bed with a migraine so Thursday was mostly playing catch-up, but now I'm back on track and ready to enjoy this spring weather! It's always nice to be home again after being out of town the previous weekend, so we have a lot of sleeping in and coffee/lounging planned, but at some point we're going to check out Abari, which sounds like such a fun place (also I hear there's a French fry food truck so how bad can that be?).

Happy Friday, everyone! This week has been a busy one and I'm really looking forward to the weekend. I was in and out of meetings all week and on Wednesday evening I taught my second SkillPop class! I'm teaching it again in early April if you live in Charlotte and want to check it out. Last night we went out to dinner with some sweet friends we never see enough, so that was really nice.

This weekend I plan to work out, do some organizing and cooking at home, paint a wall in our living room (I'll share that with you in a post later this month!), and hopefully head up to Davidson for lunch at Kindred. We haven't been since last year and I can't stop thinking about it!

If you follow me on Instagram, you might know that I had to drive back to Roanoke Monday night when my mom found herself in the operating room once again, this time without an appointment. Surgery recovery and complications are no joke, my friends. Luckily she's finally back on the mend and I got home Wednesday night.

I feel like I've been traveling non-stop since January, but we still have a vacation coming up this weekend that we planned a little while ago--we're going to Miami on Saturday morning! We're also planning to take a trip to Key West while we're in Florida, so if you have any recommendations for either the Keys or Miami, let me know--neither of us have been there before. I hate to leave our cozy apartment again, but I'm looking forward to some sunshine and relaxation, more than likely with a daiquiri in hand.
