Reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up and trying to implement its teachings into my home and life. It's so crazy to think about how much stuff we accumulate over the years, and how we don't let go of it because we think we need it, but it ends up just creating clutter and making us unhappy. I have a lot more thoughts on all of this, but that's another blog post!

Watching the last season of Parenthood. I have three episodes left and I can't believe how attached I've gotten to so many of the characters. Kristina used to irritate me back in the first few seasons and now I wish she were real so I could have coffee with her.

Thinking about upcoming episodes of Hello, Butter and all the things I want to do "next," like the YouTube channel I've been dreaming about for months and months and months. If I had one, what would you like to see? I'm thinking it would be a bit of an extension of this blog, just through videos; so there'd be some food, some general life stuff, maybe cocktail recipes? I'd love to share some makeup stuff and maybe even do a Q+A column on a semi-regular basis. If you have ideas or requests, let me know! Maybe hearing from you guys is what I need to finally get started.

Missing Minneapolis a lot--it is so amazing to me that I can feel so happy and at home in Charlotte and simultaneously wish we never left Minnesota. I've learned over the past few years of moving that you can (and will) feel all sorts of weird and conflicting things at once, so I just try to embrace it and stop trying to make sense of every little thing. You can love where you are and still think somewhere else is better.

Looking forward to a full weekend at home. I drove to Roanoke last Sunday night and spent a few days in Charlottesville after that, so today feels like Monday and even though I was only gone for three days, it felt more like a week (Charlotte to Roanoke to Charlottesville and back the same way is kind of a hike), so it'll be nice to have nowhere to be except home with Rob and Ender.

What have you been reading, watching, thinking about, missing, and looking forward to?

Thinking about how much I've been enjoying barre this month. I wrote a little about my first month at the beginning of April, but now that I'm almost done with two months, I have so many more thoughts about the whole thing. I'm mostly surprised by 1. how much I love it; 2. how much better at it I'm becoming; and 3. how quickly I'm becoming more flexible every class. I've always been an active person but in the past year or so I've gotten really out of practice, so it's nice to have something physically challenging in my life again--and one that I actually look forward to daily!

Listening to lots of The Lively Show and quite a bit of Jack's Mannequin. I had the pleasure of meeting Jess Lively at Alt Summit this year and I'm so happy to have her podcast in my life. It's really been great for me over the past few weeks. And who doesn't love Andrew McMahon's music?

Watching the newest season of Game of Thrones. These past few episodes have been so good! I've also read that there may only be a couple more seasons, which I actually think is perfect. I'd love to read the books but I really want to treat the show and the novels like two completely different things. It's hard to stay away from them when the seasons are over, though!

Drinking coconut La Croix. It tastes like vacation!

Looking forward to Memorial Day weekend in South Carolina with some friends. We haven't been to the beach since last year (although I did go to Dewey Beach in August for a bachelorette party), and Rob and I are really looking forward to that. And it'll be so great to spend some time with my friend Tina, who I hardly ever get to see.

Loving spring in Charlotte. Rob and I have been walking Ender along the lightrail almost every night and it is so nice. We're also starting to run into people we know from our neighborhood which just makes this city feel so homey. It's been really great the past few months.

What have you been up to these days? I want to know! Happy Monday!

Watching season three of House of Cards! I think Parenthood is going to have to wait until we finish--Rob and I only watched the first episode last night but binge-watching the seasons when they come out is one of my favorite things.

Reading As Always, Julia. I picked it up in a really cool used bookstore/coffee shop that my friend Joan and I visited for the first time last week. I love all things Julia Child, so I couldn't resist. I'm excited to jump into it!

Loving getting to know this sweet puppy of ours. Ender is really awesome and I love him so much already. He has such a cute personality and he makes me laugh all the time. I'm so glad we took so much time before getting a dog to really prepare for how much work it is--I haven't been able to sleep in for weeks, but I think it's totally worth it.

Sometimes I think about Rocky and have some conflicted feelings--like maybe I'm not supposed to let another dog make me happy, but I like to think that he is so not even concerned about that wherever he is now. It's been odd, letting my heart grow in this way--getting a new dog without trying to replace my old one. But it's so good, too. And I think Rocky would be proud of me. I don't miss him any less.

Trying to get more done with my time. Ender takes up a lot of my day and I still haven't managed to make time to go running or to the gym regularly. He loves his crate but I always feel guilty leaving him in there more than a couple times a day. I love how little he is but I also can't wait for him to be bigger so we can go running together and I can work out with him! Last week I only posted three times, but I'm hoping to finally get a new work/exercise/puppy schedule figured out soon.

Looking forward to spring! I'm so excited for warm weather and outdoor dining. We have a couple great places in our neighborhood that we love to walk to and it's just so much better when you can have a drink on a patio. March is going to be an exciting month for me because Rob and I get to model in a photography workshop in Richmond, and then I was asked to speak at Longwood University at the end of the month. So much to look forward to (and so much to prepare for--I haven't written a speech in a while)!

What does life look like in your world lately? (PS Happy March!)
