Thinking about life in Charlotte and this move. Rob and I have both been traveling a lot and since our stuff still isn't here, I really don't feel like we live here yet. My mom is visiting for a few days and our new mattress arrived the other day, so I think we're finally taking some steps toward feeling like residents of North Carolina.

Listening to one of my favorite Pandora radio stations--it's Kate Nash and Regina Spektor with some Florence & the Machine and Feist. It's so good and I always listen to it in the fall or, like now, when I can't wait for fall.

Loving our new apartment and the building itself--we have an awesome gym and there are two classes a week in the spin room! I went to one yesterday and the day before that, my mom and I actually walked into the city from my neighborhood, which was so nice. I think we're going to be really happy here.

Trying to get back into the swing of things with this blog and life in general. Things have been so weird lately and I had no idea that not having a physical desk to sit down in front of would make posting regularly so hard. I'm always telling myself that my schedule is flexible and that I can work from anywhere, which is mostly true, but it's been a long month of no routine and I'm really feeling it.

Looking forward to...can you guess? Where the hell is our stuff? I can't wait for that moving truck to get here so we can finally move in and start calling this place home! But I also am looking forward to my birthday next week and shortly after that, my friend Tina is getting married! I've never been a bridesmaid before and I'm so excited about her wedding weekend.

What have you been up to currently?

Thanks to my friend Dani for inspiring these posts.

Doing as much packing as I can handle. Everyone else hates moving and packing, right? It's simultaneously boring and exhausting in some way. Today I'm determined to go through the bathroom and get rid of lotion, hair products, etc. that I've had forever and just don't use, and I'm packing a huge bag to take with me to Charlotte this week and just leave it there. Rob's been bringing a bunch of clothes each time, which has significantly reduced the size of our closet so far, so that's something.

Thinking about this move, and blogging, and possibly (hopefully!) living in a place for longer than a year. Lately I've been feeling a little uninspired, which makes for a weird blog. Yesterday I went out for a few drinks with some friends in Minneapolis, which always makes me a little sad to leave. I've met some wonderful people in my time here, so it'll be sad to say goodbye. But Charlotte is just a quick direct flight from Minneapolis, so I'm hoping to visit a couple times a year.

Listening to lots of Regina Spektor. I love her all year, but she's sort of my wistful fall go-to, even in July (which is when I start daydreaming about autumn). I'm also totally loving Chvrches lately.

Watching so much Gossip Girl. I don't know what's happening. I started it randomly in March and didn't really watch much of it, but since Rob's been traveling for work, my nights have been all Gossip Girl, all the time. It's so bad but it's so good!

Trying to make the most of this weird transitional time. I really don't like living alone and tend to get kind of anxious when it's time to go to bed in an empty apartment, but I've done fine and as silly as it sounds, I'm kind of proud of myself. It was really nice having Rob home for the weekend, though, and I'm looking forward to spending a few days in Charlotte with him this week.

What about you? I want to know what you're up to currently!

As always, thanks to my friend Dani for the post inspiration!

Watching Game of Thrones, you guys! Who's caught up after last night? This is definitely my favorite show in the world and I'm so happy the new season has finally started up again! It's definitely intense, but I love so many of the characters and it's just a really rewarding show to watch closely.

Thinking about our wedding! It's 18 days away and I leave for Roanoke in just two weeks. There's still a lot of little things to be done, but I'm trying to take a minute here and there to reflect on how amazing this year has been (and try not to be freaked out at how quickly it's flashed by). Our wedding weekend will be over before we know it. But I'm so excited to have everyone we love together in the same place for two or three whole days.

Listening to my favorite Pandora station--it's Sigur Ros + Bon Iver + Explosions in the Sky. I've also been playing Cascada on my iPod when I run lately and it's so fun and reminds me of my high school running days.

Reading...do to-do lists count? After last month's The Eighty Twenty Book Club I haven't really picked up another book yet. Woops! What are you reading?

Loving this warmer weather we've been having--unfortunately this week is a bit cool again, but it's nice to get outside and run or walk every day.

Drinking iced coffee! I like to make it at night and stick it in the fridge for the morning. I've also really been into hot tea in the afternoons.

Eating so many vegetables. I finally got a spiral slicer and I've been turning veggies into noodles every day! I'll have to share a few recipes with you all soon.

Missing my family and friends a lot. My Maid of Honor, Tina, is getting married in September and this weekend I had to miss her engagement party/bridal shower weekend. It's really hard to be far away when so many awesome things are happening back home, and I hate that I wasn't there for it.

Looking forward to, well, do you really have to ask? Going home in two weeks to get ready for the wedding, for my friends and family to all get into town that Thursday and Friday, manicures and a pre-rehearsal lunch with my bridesmaids, the rehearsal/dinner, and, of course, getting married on May 3!

What are you up to currently?

As always, thanks to my sweet blog-friend Dani for inspiring these posts.
