Gin or Juice? 10 Easy And Delicious Drinks For Everyone to Shake Up This Spring & Summer
Quick View

I’m so excited to have this little collection of mocktail and cocktail recipes done and ready to share! There are 10 drinks in this e-book, and each one is alcohol-free but lists a recommended liquor if you want to take it from mocktail to cocktail. From a strawberry balsamic spritz and a watermelon slushie to a cold brew soda and a virgin spin on a caipirinha, I really do think this book has something for everyone.

If you download a copy and make any of the drinks, make sure to snap a photo and share it on social media with the hashtag #ginorjuice so I can see and share!

Coconut Mango Margaritas
Coconut Mango Margaritas | Freckled Italian

I have been living for all things mango (and pineapple) lately, so this delicious little drink I came up with has been shaken up and poured on repeat at my house lately. It’s a virgin margarita that easily goes from mocktail to cocktail with an ounce or two of your favorite tequila, but I am loving it as a booze-free afternoon treat now that the weather is so nice.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces of fresh mango, diced

  • 3 heaping tablespoons cream of coconut

  • 3 ounces of pineapple juice

  • 3 ounces of your favorite margarita mix

  • As little or as much tequila as you like in a margarita (obviously optional)

Instructions:

  1. Muddle mango and cream of coconut together in a shaker.

  2. Add ice and pineapple juice, margarita mix, and tequila, if using. Shake well and strain over fresh ice.

  3. Garnish with lime and enjoy!

This recipe is so fast and easy that I didn’t even bother to take photos, but that didn’t stop me from making a quick video about it:

PS I had so many people ask me for the recipe for this drink the few times I shared it on Instagram, it inspired me to create a short collection of 10 more drinks (complete with real photos) for warmer weather. It’ll be formatted as an ebook and I’ll share it on my Shop page when it’s done! If you want to get a notification when it’s ready, I’ll be sending a link to my newsletter subscribers first, so feel free to sign up here.

Cocktail Recipe: Blackberry Cucumber Fizz

This drink is perfect for hot summer days, and I know that because my friend Corri and I polished off a batch of them on my porch over the weekend. I used elderflower liquor again because I still have a lot of it left over from last time, but you could skip it and sweeten this drink with a drizzle of honey instead. And if you wanted to make this into a mocktail, just swap the Prosecco for cucumber, berry, or lemon soda water (this one is my favorite but Trader Joe's has a cucumber one that's great, too).

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 fresh blackberries
  • Juice of half a lemon (optional)
  • About an ounce of elderflower liquor (or a tablespoon of honey)
  • 4-5 ounces of Prosecco (or soda water)
  • Sliced cucumber, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a tall glass, muddle the blackberries and lemon juice together (if you're using honey, now is the time to add it).
  2. Fill the glass with ice and add the elderflower liquor. Top with Prosecco or soda water and garnish with a slice of cucumber.

Cheers!
