What I Wore 66: Capsule Wardrobe, Take One

Capsule Wardrobe, Take One | Freckled Italian

I'm hoping there's no wrong way to start a capsule wardrobe, because I'm kind of just winging it (and really taking my time). I got rid of everything I totally hate, and I recently separated the things I really love from the things I just kind of like. Every month or so I look through the stuff I just kind of like, and if I haven't thought about it since the time I separated it from the "love" collection, I donate it.

I only realized I was finally getting somewhere when I was getting ready to meet Andi for some What I Wore photos and I was able to picture exactly what clothes I wanted to bring. I've never been able to do that before. I still don't know how many pieces I'm going to end up with, but whatever--this seems to be working.

If you have a capsule wardrobe, how did you build it?
