I ran on the cross country team of a small Catholic high school, and we were absolutely Not Allowed To Run in Sports Bras. There are a lot of things like that which took some time to get over (a full semester passed before I wore flip flops to class, and even longer to chew a piece of gum during a lecture), but the sports bra thing mostly remains. My best friend Emma and I, after graduating, would sometimes meet up to go for a run in the middle of the summer and discuss at length whether or not we should take our shirts off.

The point of this seemingly random story is to tell you that Hanes recently sent me some panties, the softest tee shirt ever, and several awesome bandini bras; and the bras are substantial enough that if I were going to run in just a sports bra today, it would totally be in one of these bad boys.

Hanes asked that I style my favorite pieces with other garments and accessories I love. While I love to dress up, sometimes over the weekend I just want to chill out in a comfy tee and a pair of my favorite jeans.

As you can see, my selections are a bit on the pink side, which leads me to Hanes' Undercover Color campaign. Pink and I are just having a moment right now! Luckily for me (and you), Hanes is unveiling a brighter, more colorful look this summer with panties, bras and tees in on-trend patterns and vibrant hues. 

In celebration of their fun and fresh fashions, Hanes is inviting women to join a candid conversation by revealing what color underwear they’re wearing right now, or their “Undercover Color”-- because a women’s “Undercover Color” is an important reflection of her personality and mood from day to day. Hanes will then take the information they’ve collected from women across the country and publish color trends for a fun, fresh take on women’s fashion.
