Life Lately According to Instagram (#31)

Happy Monday! It's been a while since I've shared some photos around here, so I thought I'd fill you in this morning! Here's a quick look at life according to my phone's camera roll.

  1. The station in our neighborhood. We just hop on and take a quick ride into the city.
  2. I have no idea what happens in this building, but I love walking past it.
  3. Our cozy new bed in our cozy new bedroom! Getting a king was one of the best decisions we've ever made.
  4. Monday morning grocery shops.
  5. Went to Roanoke for a weekend at the end of September to celebrate Patrick's sister's baby shower!
  6. Charlotte looking blue as can be one morning last week.
  7. Coffee dates with Rob.
  8. Finally changed my name, five whole months after the wedding.
  9. A gorgeous rainy hike yesterday morning.

What has life looked like in your world recently?

Wishing You a Cozy Weekend
SimoneAnne-8325.jpg

Happy Friday! I've been fighting off a cold all week, so I've been kind of out of it the past few days. Thankfully I woke up this morning feeling a little better, so I plan to go on a walk (I haven't run since last week!), have some coffee, and clean the apartment, and catch up on a few things around here.

Tonight we're having dinner with Rob's parents, and then we have plans with friends in the area all weekend. We've spent the past two weekends doing a lot of nothing, so I'm excited to be busy for a change.

How was your week? What are you up to this weekend? I hope you have a good one!

Queen City Cocktails | Tupelo Honey Cafe in South End

Almost every Tuesday, Rob and I meet at our neighborhood Tupelo Honey Cafe for martinis (my favorite is the rosemary lime with gin).

They're $3 each and totally delicious, and we always say "Let's not get dinner," because this place is so southern that there's barely anything on the menu that isn't covered in cheese or rolled in some kind of batter and then fried, but also because we live an eight minute walk away and could easily just have a drink and go home (if we had any willpower at all). But every time, we get "snacks," which end up just being appetizers for dinner. Goat cheese grits are a thing and they taste like heaven.

I guess there are worse things that could happen.
