Weekend in Photos // NOVA Days
Rob and I have mostly settled into the long-distance thing. I go there one weekend, then he comes here. This weekend we were in Tysons Corner, where we manage to do a lot of both going out and staying in. We talked about how our new weekends together aren't like real life anymore--when we lived together we actually had things to do from Friday night to Sunday evening. But now? Multiple coffee dates; a walk around the mall; a metro ride or two into Washington, DC to have drinks with friends; lunch, dinner, and then breakfast out; our song playing on repeat while we read in bed and take at least one really good two hour nap--these are our new weekends in northern Virginia.

Scenes from New Jersey
Some weekends, I take a ton of photos, and I like them all. Some other weekends, I sit down on Sunday night and look through my camera to learn that I actually only took a few. So you get three photos. And three things.

Thing one--Princeton is lovely. Thing two is that on Saturday I ate Buffalo wings for lunch, a Buffalo chicken salad for dinner, and then more Buffalo wings at a bar as a snack. It was sort of awesome. Thing three is that I went to a really fun beer tasting with the guys and guess what? I still think beer tastes like feet.

I also need you to know that we went to play laser tag and were teamed up against some eight year old boys. We beat them 800 to 90. I almost felt bad, but the cool thing about laser tag is that you don't even have to know what the heck you're doing and it's still fun. After the first game, they agreed to split up. We let them pick teams so it would be more fair and I was chosen last. No one wants the girl on their team when they're an eight year old boy. I wish we all had taken a photo together, because they were hilarious and adorable, but I don't think they were trying to be.

Slow Summer Weekend
This weekend was full and relaxing in one of those good for the soul, refreshing ways.
It was muggy and it rained and then it was sunny again, and it really felt like a good, slow summer weekend.

Peaches in the kitchen--they get bruised and soft so fast but taste like heaven either way.

I slept in a bit, drank my coffee slowly, and didn't leave the house but once. I caught up on blogs, got a few pages of Les Miserables read, painted my nails, washed my hair, finished editing an essay, and wrote up a little something for a few friends. Rob and I took Rocky for a walk and came home to give him a bath, which is always a struggle but always so darn cute. We finished Game of Thrones, opening up some room for us to catch up on True Blood. Life's not too bad.

How was your weekend? Here's to another week!
