Hello from Williamsburg! I'm here with Rob's family for the week before I start work next Monday! I thought I'd share a few looks into the past week with you while I spend some time doing that vacation thing that I've gotten so good at lately.

1. It is really so good to have Rob back home.

I'm feeling pretty uninspired, friends. But I haven't done an Instagram photo dump in almost two weeks and I kinda like them. It's been a weird couple of days, but I did have an interview with a pretty awesome company yesterday that I think went well. I thought for a minute or two about taking a few days off from the blog, but that just seemed so weird to me. I'm not going anywhere, but for now you just get photos. Here's what's been going on with me, according to my phone:

1. Rocky is getting photogenic in his old age.

2. Starting Les Miserables. It's huge.

(I can't help but be pretentiously unintimidated by the length since I've read Clarissa.)

3. We've had several rainy mornings. They're my favorite.

4. Made Melissa's Paleo Heart of Palm Dip and it was awesome.

5. Berries, almond butter, and nuts in homemade pecan milk.

6. Wore a sock bun to CrossFit and it stayed in place! Also, I'm a ghost.

7. Eggs and buffalo chicken sausage with some avocado for breakfast.

8. Finished re-reading The Great Gatsby. How good is that book?

9. Spent a few afternoons at home. I get more done when I actually get dressed.

10. Went to Charlottesville to pack a few more things and had to stop for coffee at Para.

It's already Friday again? I've been counting the weeks from Friday to Friday instead of Monday, sort of in the same way that, for whatever reason, I pretend the year begins in the fall and generally disregard January as anything significant to the calendar.

As of today, Rob has officially been off to China for two weeks. My wonderful blog friend weekend came and went, and they were only just arriving a week ago. I am literally putting the finishing touches on my Master's thesis. I pulled a muscle in my arm and can barely lift a coffee cup with it. So, other than hanging around my house like a little baby, I've been spending a lot of time downtown in Roanoke, doing some work for my parents and doing some writing. Take a look:

1. Monday drive from DC to Roanoke. Gotta get used to it sometime, right?

2. The most beautiful iced coffee that ever lived.

3. Finally finding time to read for pleasure. Finally finishing Acts of Faith.

4. Dinner date on the market with mom. The food was good but it took for.ev.er.

5. Watching Sean and his band play a show. They sound so good!

6. Trying my hand at the layered wrist thing. Can't seem to figure it out.
