I feel like I've gone on and on about creating a capsule wardrobe, and I've made good progress getting rid of all the clothes I don't like in my closet--now I'm in that weird in-between place of still having a lot to get rid of but needing a few new things to round out my wardrobe. I think not giving myself a deadline made this whole thing a little more difficult than it needed to be, so now that we're moving in September, I've decided to finally finish up the purging of my closet by the end of August so that I can live a month with basic pieces and then rebuild a few things once we get to the Bay Area. What do you think?
Having said that, I still catch myself wanting to buy a bunch of new things that I don't really need yet--so I found myself creating this little outfit mood board the other day. Being super intentional about only owning great pieces I can wear again and again means having a few outfit "drafts," right? (Also it's kind of a fun way to shop without buying a bunch of stuff.) Either way, here's an outfit that I don't own, but would love to have hanging in my closet.
I'll be posting more What I Wore looks again starting next week! Things have been so crazy lately that I haven't had a chance to shoot any with my photographer. Let me know if you like these kinds of posts, though, because I've always wanted to share them but wasn't super sure about it.
