Hello, Butter: An Eighty Twenty Podcast

Last night, my friend Jenna and I jumped on Skype and recorded the first episode of our newest project: a podcast! Hello, Butter will focus on life, food, health, the Paleo diet, and some general nonsense that makes us laugh until our stomachs hurt.

I wanted to tell you about it now because we want to know if you have any suggestions or requests for upcoming episodes of Hello, Butter. So far we're planning to talk about barre, Whole30, and things we hate that the general public seems to love (obviously). So feel free to leave a comment or send us an email with a topic or even just a question you'd like us to address, and we'll be happy to include it in an upcoming episode.

That's all for today! Happy Thursday--it's almost the weekend!

Spring is in the air here in Charlotte, and on Monday I put on some coconut body butter and sat down to drink a cup of coffee with the windows open. The combination of coconut and coffee always immediately make me think of being on vacation. I think it's because one spring, years ago, my family and I went to Atlantis and every morning my mom and I would walk to the resort Starbucks for iced coffees with almond and coconut syrup in them.

I started going to Pure Barre last week and I'm kind of hooked! I got a one-month unlimited membership so I'm trying to make the most of the classes they offer until April 1st. Today will be my 8th class. I'm still figuring out a lot of the movements, but I'm already seeing some results, which is encouraging. I think I'm going to write a blog post about my experience and general thoughts about barre after this month is over.

I've been eating a lot of peanut butter recently and man, is it better than almond butter.

Yesterday while we were on a walk, the buckle on Ender's puppy collar busted open and he got away from me and even managed to run into the street for a moment. It was one of the most terrifying things I've experienced and after I finally got him to come back to me I carried him home, shaking and on the verge of tears. He fell asleep and I just watched him, thinking how strange it is that just over a month ago he was a homeless dog in a rescue who needed to be adopted. It's bizarre and even heartbreaking to think that he could be anywhere else right now. He's changed our lives so much already and I'm so happy he's ours.

What I Wore 45: Weekend Hang-Outs

The weather here in Charlotte this weekend was out of this world. Sunny, no wind, and between 60 and 70 degrees the whole time. It was the first time I've gone out with bare shoulders all year and it was so good. Rob and I spent a ton of time outside, walking Ender, and met some friends at a great beer garden that neither of us had been to before. Nachos, Bloody Marys, sunshine--what more could you want out of Daylight Savings Time?

My favorite thing about wearing a maxi dress is that they are so easy and totally comfortable, but still make you look like you put some effort into getting ready. And this hat, while fun, was also totally necessary yesterday--I recently purchased an unlimited month of barre classes, so my hair has looked insane for an entire week. Bear with me, please.
