Christmas at the Lake
We're back! I didn't pick up my camera as much as I thought I would when I was home for Christmas. My time in Virginia was spent with family, friends, and more food than I think I've ever eaten at once. It was just huge meals and fun cocktails for like six straight days. It's crazy that I won't be back again until March, but I'm so glad I got to spend two weeks for Thanksgiving last month and ten days for Christmas. Spending time at home with my family is always really nice.

Now it's back to regularly scheduled life--so bear with me for a few days while I get to my emails and resume regular posting! Hope you all had very happy holidays.

Life Lately According to Instagram (#25)
Just popping in this weekend to share some photos from my December with you!
Once again, another month has flown by and this time I can't believe next year is here already.

1. I'm excited enough about Alt Summit in January, but gifts from Alt sponsors make it even more fun to look forward to!
(This pretty package came from Minted.)
2-3. Getting and setting up our Christmas tree was really fun.
4. Sent out holiday cards with our favorite engagement shot on them.
5. The snowiest day! I felt like a true Minnesotan going out for coffee and running errands in the snow.
6-9. Back to Virginia (and some amazingly warm weather) for Christmas with family and friends.

What did your December look like? 2014, here we come!

(PS I've decided to extend my holiday ad sale until January 1st. Take 20% off regular spots with the code HAPPYHOLIDAYS.)

Life Lately According to Instagram is a once-monthly feature in which I showcase my favorite Instagram shots. You can follow along with me in real-time if you'd like--I'm @megan_flynn.

Holiday Hair Inspiration + a Quick Giveaway

Happy Day-After-Christmas, friends! We're still in Virginia until Saturday, but after that Rob and I have plans for a quiet and romantic New Year's Eve dinner at

Fogo de Chao

in Minneapolis. I'm really looking forward to getting dressed up and spending our last unmarried NYE together. In 2014, we'll be Mr. and Mrs. Peterson! I'm planning to put on a fancy dress, some heels, and do something really fun with my hair.

I'm not too much of an up-do lady, although I love an elegant up-do for really special events, I usually show up to a holiday party with my normal hair--curled, but maybe with a bit more volume than usual. I'm a fan of vintage styles, and really love the whole victory roll look (as you can see

here

). For our New Year's Eve dinner, I want to try something similar to that, but maybe a bit less costume-y. Lucky for me, Pantene sent a huge box of awesome products to help make my holiday hair styling a breeze.

Read further to check out the style I'm using for inspiration, the Pantene products, and to win a set of your own!

I came across
