What I Wore 76: Old Faithful

I've had this dress for years and continue to find new ways to wear it. When I worked in an office it was often part of my weekly rotation, since the shape of it is so classic. Even now, I still prefer to dress it up with a statement necklace and some heels or wedges. Definitely a gem in my ever evolving capsule wardrobe.

What I Wore 75: Spring Neutrals

I'll occasionally bust out a few bright pieces for spring and summer but for the most part, I stick to black, white, grey, and tan all year round. This tank top is one of those really awesome basic pieces but it's my mom's--she left it at our apartment a few visits back and I guess I have to give it back to her this weekend since it's Mother's Day and everything.

Everything piece of this outfit is at least one year old, with the exception of this hat, which was a great purchase at just $13--I've already worn it 3-4 times already. It's the perfect spring hat because it's not too hot and I think it looks pretty cute on. It also matches everything in my wardrobe because you know; black, white, grey, and tan.

What's your go-to spring outfit? Have you found a perfect hat lately? I'm always looking for a new one so let me know!

What I Wore 74: Pattern Mixing

I don't know if I love a skirt more than this one, which is why it's continually made the cut as I've gotten rid of more and more of my clothes. It's neutral and yet still interesting, and it can be worn with almost any kind of top, including the ol' dress-as-a-shirt shirt. This time I decided to pair it with one of my favorite dresses, a little striped number that is cute on its own, but just as good when layered underneath a skirt.

This is the kind of thing I like about a capsule wardrobe--it forces you to pair pieces you normally wouldn't put together, and the result is often a new favorite outfit.
