I love dressing up as much as the next girl, but there's no item of clothing in the world that can make me happier than a soft tee shirt in a neutral color. One of my blogging goals for 2015 is to do a better job documenting my outfits and personal style, so I thought I might as well start with the basics. This is what I'm wearing most often when out and about in the fall and winter: dark pants, a grey tee (very possibly topped with an over-sized black cardigan, but not this time), tan booties, and my trench coat. Works every time.

In the fall, you can find me wearing one to five pieces from a collection of about ten--the shirts, sweaters, scarves, jeans, and boots that I love so much. Well you guys, I'm still waiting for autumn to come to Charlotte. We've had a few cooler days and the mornings and evenings are generally chilly, but I'm still anticipating the day I throw a knitted cap on top of my head. I know, it's not even October yet, but still. I'm ready.

Rob's dad treated us to a delicious meal at Sullivan's on Saturday, so I wore this floral dress from Joules' new autumn/winter line (spoiler alert: everything is gorgeous). I'm usually not much of a pink person, but I love the print!
