What I Wore 38: White After Labor Day

The weather here in Charlotte has cooled down considerably this week, and as excited as I am to don leggings and sweaters and scarves, I still enjoy the occasional sundress. These photos are from several weeks ago, when it was still in the 80s or 90s every day.

I went through OMG White Dress Obsession when I was planning my wedding and ended up with a few too many white pieces for showers, brunches, and even our reception's after party, but I'm pleased to announce that this one has been worn several times for non-wedding related reasons.

What I Wore 37: Birthday Suit
Jumpsuit and Brunch 005 edit.jpg

I am generally slow to jump on trends and awkwardly catch on once they are more or less on their way out, so obviously I purchased a jumpsuit a couple of weeks ago.

I've had my eye on a couple of them (like this one and this one, which I still might get soon) but was afraid to take the leap since I had no idea if I could pull it off or not. I'm still not sure, but I wore this one to a belated birthday brunch with my family at Metro! last weekend in Roanoke and pulling it off or not, I'm going to keep it because it feels like pajamas and makes me feel fancy.

I'm also going to throw some brunch photos into this post, because brunch. (The chef made gluten-free risotto cakes to replace the English muffin in our Eggs Benedict, which was thoughtful and so delicious.)

What I Wore 36: Purple and Black

I called the moving company yesterday and learned that our stuff hasn't even left Minnesota yet, so I drove home to our hotel and got ready for dinner, wondering what to wear. I did a pretty bad job packing a couple suitcases and am quickly running out of things.

Luckily I did pack a box from the closet and put it in our car, so I have a few things already at our furniture-less apartment, including this comfy but nice dress! It's one of those that feels like a soft tee-shirt, but makes you feel dressed up.

We went to Cowbell with friends for dinner and had such a great time. I got the Umami burger without a bun and cucumber salad instead of fries! I'm so excited for our first real weekend here in Charlotte so we can try out a few more restaurants.

PS I got my hair cut and colored at Ekskluziv Salon in downtown Roanoke on Wednesday--I'll share more about that with you soon! Have a great weekend, friends!
