A few weeks ago when I was visiting Charlotte, my friend Langley and I spent an afternoon drinking coffee and walking around NoDa, where we ended up at a sweet little vintage shop. I couldn't resist this bright silk dress. It was perfect for a summer afternoon out in St. Paul last weekend.
The weather here in Minneapolis has slowly but steadily been getting better and better, and I keep finding myself at my favorite coffee shop or restaurants on warm, sunny afternoons. One of my favorite ways to spend time is by grabbing a treat somewhere and walking around, enjoying the weather.
I bought this long dress from J.Crew a long time ago and I love it, but the top of it is so low cut that I really can't wear it on a normal day (maybe at the beach, with a bikini underneath or something). I've been throwing tee shirts on top of it and knotting them at the waist, making for a pretty comfortable and cute re-working of an otherwise unwearable dress (even if sometimes my bra still shows).
Dress (similar, but cuter!): J.Crew | Tee: Victoria's Secret
Watch and Bag: Michael Kors
Necklace and Earrings (out of stock): Chloe + Isabel
Shoes: c/o Jigsaw London
It's been really nice going out without a jacket these past few days. I celebrated this weekend by putting on these yellow pants that almost always make me feel just a little ridiculous. But hey, it's spring--the time for brights is here!
