If there's one thing I love more than hearing Silent Night this time of year, it's black tie optional.

Sometimes these things call for a trip to the mall and a new dress, but once December hits, I try not to spend any money on myself until after Christmas. Unless it's for liquid eyeliner, which I totally bought for myself on Friday afternoon. Luckily, I've had this awesome dress hanging in my closet for a month or two, just waiting for Rob's work party in DC, so there was no need to buy a dress while I was at the mall.

Let the party season begin!

I'm kind of a scarf person, and when I find one that I like, I generally stick to it. Up until now, my favorite scarves have been solid colors, but now that I have this colorful patterned one in my possession  I don't see myself going back any time soon.

I took a nice walk around a pond over the weekend. 

It had been warm all day and then the sun started setting and it got cold.

I'm glad I brought a scarf. Because I was wearing a tank top, and that would have been bad.
