[A favorite shot from our trip to Wild Rumpus over the weekend.]

Watching Weeds. I don't know, you guys. It's entertaining, but a lot of the time it annoys me. I'm excited that Girls has started again, and I want to catch up on Downton Abbey. And I'm beyond excited for a new season of Game of Thrones this spring.

Thinking about how hard it is to balance everything. I recently started a part-time job but with training it's been closer to full-time than I had anticipated. I'm thankful to be working right now but I really had a good routine going and I just can't seem to fit blogging, exercise, reading, cleaning/doing laundry, and cooking dinner into one day anymore. I guess I didn't realize how much time I was putting into my blog and other creative projects these past few months. I need to get more organized.

Listening to the soundtrack from Rent a lot. I usually watch that movie once a year but I haven't seen it in a few, so I've been listening to it when I run on the treadmill lately.

Reading hardly anything. I want to read more in 2014 and actually have a list ready to go, but sometimes I'll start a book, put it down, and not pick it up again for weeks. It's a bad habit and it irritates me, but seriously The Hobbit might always be known to me as the book I just couldn't finish.

Loving winter in Minnesota. I love the snow and I love the cold and I love that life here doesn't stop because of the weather. Ask me again in April, though, and maybe I'll have something else to say.

Drinking so much lemon water. Every morning I drink a big mug of hot water with lemon, and then throughout the day I've been really good about keeping my water bottle full. A few slices of lemon definitely make water a little less boring.

Eating almond butter with coconut oil every night as a bedtime snack. Sometimes I'll dip apples or celery in it, but most of the time I just eat it with a spoon. My favorite way to have it is with a sliced up banana.

Missing Rocky so much. I can't believe it's already been a month since he passed away. He was just the sweetest dog.

Looking forward to Alt Summit next week, my brother's visit to Minnesota in February, our fifth anniversary in March, closely followed by my bachelorette weekend in DC, a Roanoke bridal shower and marriage license pick-up in April, and of course our wedding at the beginning of May! These next three and a half months are going to be pretty spectacular.

[Dinner and drinks on Monday with my Maid of Honor, Tina! We're looking at some dresses this evening.]

Watching Friends. Game of Thrones ended (goodness gracious) and I've been really busy getting stuff out of my closet and trying to get back into working out in the evenings, so I haven't really jumped into another show yet. I've been finding time at night to relax on the couch a bit, and I keep getting sucked into these Friends marathons on whatever channel it is. I don't hate it. Actually, I love it.

Thinking about our wedding next year and a couple other little things I haven't told you about yet! Life is changing so fast, and I'm really enjoying the ride so far. And I can't wait to fill you all in.

Listening to Lights in the Fog. I accidentally stole this CD from my friend Andy a few years ago and listen to it every now and again. I should probably give it back, but for now I'm really enjoying their album!

Reading A Thousand Days in Venice. I bought this book as like a fourteen year-old after I went to Venice one summer. I'm re-reading it now and just savoring every word. It's written beautifully and so much of it is just delicious.

Loving handstand push-ups. For some freakish and random reason, they're really easy for me, and it never fails to make me feel way more in shape than I really am.

Drinking kombucha! So, I promise you that I usually hate it so much, but after a long search, I was finally introduced to one that I like. Barefoot Bucha is a local business and their ginger kombucha is one of the more delicious drinks I've ever had.

Eating coconut ice cream. This warm weather has me craving cold treats. I love having a non-dairy option, and So Delicious is my favorite.

Missing Rob, as usual. It kind of sucks to be away from each other during this exciting time, but we have several trips planned to get us through the next few months.

Looking forward to Melissa's wedding this weekend! Rob is flying in on Friday night and the wedding is Saturday. It's going to be so fun, and I'm so excited that I get to see my sweet friend Jenna again!

[Some of the best scallops I've ever had, on Tuesday night at Blue Apron.]

Watching Game of Thrones. Holy crap you guys! Who is watching it? I have always loved her, but Daenerys was so damn cool last week. I'm kind of obsessed with her. I also have a huge, nearly out-of-control crush on Tyrion Lannister.

Thinking about some really exciting things coming up in the next few weeks. My brother is graduating, I'm finishing up a personal project that I can't wait to share with you guys, and Rob will be in town for a couple of long weekends at the end of May.

Listening to Taylor Swift's Fearless. I know it doesn't make any sense because I actually can't stand her, but I listened to that album the spring of my junior year of college and ever since then, I haven't been able to escape it. I play it in the mornings with the windows down and it reminds me of those days.

Reading books about design, for work. They're really interesting and helpful, but I haven't been reading that much lately and it makes me sad. The other day I flipped through Where the Wild Things Are. I think once I get David Sedaris' new book I'll be back in the swing of things again.

Loving spring. It has already been a long week, but spring is here in full force and it is making me so happy. There's something about this season that just instills a new will to be cheerful and active and thankful for life. Autumn is my favorite season until spring rolls around. I think it's okay to have two favorite times of the year.

Drinking cold-brewed iced coffee. My favorite. We make it at night and I pour some with ice and sometimes coconut milk into a jar (I'm still loving my Cuppow) and take it to work with me.

Eating berries! I went through an entire little box of raspberries in one sitting the other day. And I'm really into strawberries this year.

Missing Rob. We do get to see each other a lot considering the distance between us, but the three weeks between visits thing is kind of rough. Every other week seems doable, but as soon as we have to say, "Okay, see you next month," it kind of sucks.

Looking forward to this weekend. I'm helping to set up a bridal shower next door, and then hosting a going-away cookout for my sweet friend Lauren. I'm looking forward to good food, good company, and a pretty serious morning of sleeping in on Sunday!
