Some Things I Believe Right Now (#14)

Right now, I believe...

that it's still too early for a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

that packing is the worst but getting rid of stuff you don't need is the best.

in Chinese takeout on Sundays.

in to-do lists and short-form blog posts like this one (and that one).

that it's okay to get really aggravated when people misuse apostrophes.

that roasting a marshmallow over a fire on a chilly evening is the perfect combination of summer and fall.

in green juice and smoothies full of spinach.

What's true for you these days?

What I've Been Up to Lately

Rob and I got home late on Tuesday night and both just went full-speed into this short, post-holiday week. I can't believe Friday is already here! We certainly packed a full week's worth of work into three days. Here's what I've been up to lately:

  • Teaching 7 Pure Barre classes (but only taking 1 myself).
  • Making up for the time away from Ender with lots of cuddles on the couch.
  • Packing up baby and kitchen stuff and taking it over to our new place--I think this weekend we're going to put the crib together and let Ender run around in the yard.
  • Going to bed super early (before 9:00 last night!) and waking up even earlier.
  • Battling pregnancy-related heartburn but not really winning.
  • Thinking about how nice this summer has been but how ready I am for fall to get here--we're getting some cooler weather in the Bay Area and it's really nice.
  • Marveling over the wonder that is a good pair of maternity jeans.

What have you been up to lately?

Twenty-Nine

I'm twenty-nine today and feeling so incredibly blessed and lucky and loved.

Rob and I are in Richmond again for a few days after spending the weekend in Virginia Beach with family for a wedding--tonight we're having dinner with some of my best friends and tomorrow we fly back to California to pack up and move into the house that we'll bring our daughter home to in just three months.

Twenty-eight was pretty darn good but I'm really looking forward to all the incredible moments this next year will bring.
