Busy Weekend | Happy Friday
[Another pistachio milk latte, taken March 2012.]

It was chilly and a little grey this morning, but the sun has come out and it's shaping up to be a beautiful afternoon here in Charlottesville. After work, I met my friend and co-worker, Deidre (she makes cute bows but doesn't have any in her shop right now--check back later!) for a late breakfast at Blue Moon Diner--a cozy little place I love that has some of the best coffee I've ever had and an apple and sausage omelet that's to die for.

Now I'm at home with some laundry to put away and plans to be in Richmond tonight so I can run the Monument Avenue 10K tomorrow morning. Guys, I haven't been running nearly as much as I should have been, especially since I've known forever that this race is tomorrow. But, I'm doing it with some friends and hopefully won't let my competitive streak get the best of me. The goal was originally a specific time, but then I didn't train and now it's just to relax and have a good time on the course. Six point two fun miles later, we'll be brunching it up at my friend Tina's house, and then Rob and I are heading to Hampden-Sydney to catch the very end of Greek Week.

Friends! Food! Frats! Running! All in one weekend.

What will you be up to these next few days?
Anyone going to be in Richmond for the race?

What I Wore 22: Spring Brights
I have too much in my closet. Pair a love for shopping with absolutely no desire to ever part with old clothes because "I might wear them again," and you've got yourself a wardrobe full of new things you haven't worn yet and hidden old things that you haven't worn since high school. Most days, this is bad. Other days, when you find pink pants that you forgot you had, it's not so bad. I like to call it Shopping In My Closet, and I find that it makes me feel thrifty. And extra-cute.

Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Necklace: J.Crew
Shirt: J.Crew
Belt: Thrifted
Pants: GAP
Shoes: Coach

I'm seriously thinking about wearing my hair like this all spring and summer long. It's perfect and I love it.

This ring is another something I've had forever and sometimes forget about. I bought it for myself on a cruise one summer.
The bracelet was made lovingly for me by my friend, Whitney.

Blush: Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush in 115: Smoldering Plum

I'm on a mission not to buy anything new until I have documented at least most of what's in my closet.
Here's to more What I Wore posts!
