What I Wore 17: Miss New Bootie

Today I am welcoming new boots into my wardrobe and also mourning the passing of my beloved Chanel liquid eyeliner

Goodbye, sweet friend.
Thank you for helping me find the balance between girl-next-door and street walker.
I loved you till the last click.

Sweater: Ann Taylor LOFT
Tank: J.Crew
Belt: Target

I've included some links in the list above.
If you like what you see, you can find one for yourself!

So, who's got a good eyeliner recommendation?

Chicken and V-Necks // A Weekend With My Brother
Most of the time, when I have visitors in Charlottesville, I take advantage of all the awesome restaurants that are within walking distance of my apartment. When my brother comes to town, though, we act the way our family raised us and we cook up a little storm. We roasted a chicken for dinner with grilled broccoli and then the next day I made soup and he made homemade noodles for it and we put together some of the best salad you've ever had.

And then we had a little Sunday photo shoot before he left.

Love you, Sean.

Blogger Blitz DC
Yesterday, Rob and I drove the two and a half hours to DC and met up with my cousin, Brendan for a late lunch at Busboys & Poets, which is this cool restaurant/bookstore. I left my camera in my bag while I scarfed down an amazing salad with steak and asparagus on it, so unfortunately you don't get to see any pretty pictures of food or bookshelves.

Then I put on a dress and some heels and headed to Urbana to meet all the lovely ladies at Blogger Blitz DC! I had so much fun finally meeting sweet blog friends like Sarah and AV in person, and then I got to make new friends with wonderful bloggers like Jenna and Melissa.

Last three pictures are all courtesy of Jenna at The Paleo Project

Thanks, AV for planning such a lovely event!
I can't wait for the next one.
