The other day, I wondered aloud on Twitter about whether or not people still had pen pals or wrote real letters to one another anymore. I have all this stationary, and a sheet of stamps, and I wanted to use them! A few sweet readers emailed me with their addresses, and I happily spent a few minutes writing a note to each of them and putting it in the mail.
And then Joelle contacted me to see if I wanted to host a little letter-writing exchange with her on our blogs, and I thought, what a great idea! So that's how Lovely Letters: A Pen Pal Project was born.
Hope you can join! I think it's going to be really fun.

You can count me in! I feel heaps creepy that I'm commenting on this so soon after you posted it.. But I was on my feed.. And it popped up.. I swear. Great idea, regardless of my creepy factor tainting this comment!

This is such a great initiative. I think letter writing is fantastic should be given more credit. It would be nice to receive some letters in the post that aren't bills!
ReplyDeleteI'm in ... I am in London, though, so if this is a problem, I understand. Best of luck to everyone!

such an adorable idea!i would sign up but i know i would forget to write a letter and thus be the worst of all the pen pals. maybe you haven't noticed, but i pretty much hate doing anything that a.) i'm not good at and b.) that requires effort. but srsly, great idea!
