Yesterday a regular came in to the coffee shop and looked at me confusedly before telling me that he thought I looked very pretty, and that blue was a good color for me. That was really nice, so I smiled and said thanks, but as I turned to get back to work I thought, It's definitely not my shirt, dude. It's just that I brushed my hair this morning.
I kind of miss having an every-day reason to dress up. Or brush my hair.

I never know what to do with this skirt because it's kind of an off-white color, so if I wear a white top, it looks strange, but other colors don't look that great with it, either. I always just end up wearing black. I have a lot of black shirts. As I just demonstrated, they can really come in handy.
I wanted to add some color, though, so I put on these pink tights. Please tell me they're pink. I had a dress of the same color when I was in high school and everyone kept telling me it was red. But it's not red. It's pink. It's raspberry. Even though the raspberries we eat aren't actually pink, the color raspberry is definitely a pink. Right?

Super cute! I get the same feeling of not having the opportunity to dress up and no where to go. Yet, I keep filling my wardrobe with adorable pretty clothes.

They're kinda red-ish but it could just be that the photos make them look more red than pink. I'll take your word for it. ;) Either way, though, the outfit is totally adorable. You kinda remind me of Zooey Deschanel!
